Jerry Milewski
Partner/Landscape Architect
As an infant, Jerry was accidentally dropped in a shrub by his oldest brother Mike, who now takes credit for Jerry's auspicious introduction to the landscape profession. This close connection to plants was reinforced further as Jerry was delegated with the care of his family's collection of interior plants. The field of landscape architecture was suggested by a high school counselor as a good fit for this interest in plants.
Upon graduation from the University of Illinois with a bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, Jerry worked at two landscape architecture firms where he was exposed to large-scale commercial and residential projects. It was residential design that drew his interest and led to his co-founding of American Gardens, Inc. with college friend and professional colleague, Dan Wanzung.
